Hanoi used to be just a dream. The nation of Vietnam is one of the nations which I asked from God that I may be privileged to pray for and that was some 10 years ago.

On July 19, 2011, we sailed in the “Legend of the Sea” along Halong Bay in Hanoi, Vietnam. It was exhilarating to see the beautiful limestone formation grouped and perfectly leveled in the shimmering waters. The seven o’clock light blended the blue-grayish mist. I just thanked God for their beautiful land.

The moment we step on land I prayed for blessings upon Vietnam. Prayed for the healing of her wounds. She has been through severe war and bouts of hardships. I prayed for her people and children.

Truly that nation is loved by our Lord Jesus Christ. He shed His precious blood for Vietnam. I pray that the gospel of the Lord will break through the gates. I encourage you dear friends to pray for Vietnam. Our prayers are effective. Who knows that one day we might see each other on her shores.

There’s a song rendered by Basil Valdez which became very popular some two decades ago. It speaks of burden or heavy load. This song became my prayer then but lately the tune rings in my ears so i’m singing it once again.

It’s always a relief to sing a prayer from one’s heart. We can have burden or heaviness in the course of this life but the good news is that we can release it to the Lord by prayer. The bible defines burden like a load carried by men or animals; it can also be a responsibility; cares of life; bondages or oracles of judgment.

The moment we feel heavy with problems or with a situation that is beyond our control, always remember the invitation of our Lord Jesus Christ: “Come to me all of you who are heavy with burden and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28.

Right now even as you read this blog, there may be burden in your heart: unresolved conflict with your employer; unclosed relationships which bring pain to your heart; betrayals; frustrations and fear…. Come, the Lord is saying to you…and He will give you rest. “Cast thy burden upon the Lord and He shall sustain thee: He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.” Ps.55:22

Now let me pray for you. Lord bless this someone. Touch his /her heart. Let them know you care. In Jesus name, Amen.

Thank you, Lord Jesus. Thank you.

Pastor Vicky

____________________________________________________________

Jesus Attraction

My personal encounter with Jesus Christ was a bit interesting. I always thought that He was just the man on the cross who died for sins. Honestly, I used to grieve for Him and pity Him in many ways. I never had any idea about John 3:16 and its repercussions to the world and even my personal life.

Now my life has changed. I thanked God for the empty cross that signifies Jesus Christ’s victory over darkness. His death on the cross meant freedom for all of us who choose to decide and declare from our hearts and mouths that He is Lord.

Jesus Christ is super attractive! The Bible accounted that when He was on earth, He loved people. He became one of us. He understands us from the very core of our being. He understands our emotions, feelings, choices and longings. He fosters personal relationship with us. Through prayers we can talk to Him and He answers our petitions. He provides for us. He answers every question and longing in our hearts. There’s nothing that the Lord can’t give us (Mark 11:24). He forgives us every time we sin and fall short of His glory. We can always go back to Him in repentance and be assured that He will accept us back no matter how deep we sinned.

Everything in Him is safe. As we draw near to Him through His words and prayers everyday, abundant life flows to us. At present, the preaching of the gospel around the world opens the gates for people to get to know the Lord Jesus Christ and be attracted to His person, His spirit, His word, and His promise. Revelations 21:4, “He will wipe every tear from their eyes…”. Thank you, Lord Maranatha!

If you want to open a personal relationship with Him, just pray like this: :Lord Jesus Christ, I acknowledge that you are my Lord and Savior. Forgive me of my sins and help me to live a peaceful and abundant life. Thank you Lord in Jesus’ name, amen.”

(Get in touch with us through this site. God bless you)

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. The bible says that wisdom is the principal thing. In common language we say that wisdom is the ability to choose and do the right thing at the right time and at the right place. Wow! How I wish we can all use it at all times so we can have better and happy lives.

The good news is we can cultivate wisdom at any stage of our lives. However, it’s better if we start digging for it even when we were still young. The book of Proverbs is considered as the book of wisdom. We can read and meditate on its timeless verses and develop wisdom down to the core. Let’s encourage children and teenagers to discover “Proverbs”. They will greatly benefit from it. Proverbs 5:1 says, “My son pay attention to my wisdom; lend your ear to my understanding, that you may preserve discretion and your lips may keep knowledge.”

We can read the Bible and absorb wisdom from its authors. What’s more, this is free of charge! Nowadays, “corporate training materials” about leadership and attitude cost a lot of money. If we exercise our wisdom, we don’t need to spend that much. How about opening and reading your bible today? It will spell health to your soul and body and transform you into a “better you”.

Till then, God bless you richly!

It’s the first day of March. How the days passed so quickly as the cliche goes but it seem to be true specially for us Christians who can bask in the presence of the Lord. Truly time passes so quickly when you’re in good company.

With all the reported news happening around the globe, mostly negative, catastrophies were seen as if reading the 24th chapter of the gospel of Matthew and some accounts in the Old Testaments from Ezekiel and Zechariah. Wow! Could we be the RAPTURE generation?

In the meantime, how do we carry ourselves and be true to our calling as followers of Christ? Our Lord is good and He gave us the Holy Spirit to teach us and comfort us in times of trouble and distress. We are empowered by the Holy Spirit to make the right choices and decisions in our life. What’s more when we go astray? He leads us back to the loving arms of our Shepherd–our Lord Jesus Christ.

We can remain plugged to this power by reading the Word of God,our bible… after all the author of the Bible is no less than the Holy Spirit Himself. Its a book of instruction. Its a book of wisdom. It contain principles of abundant living. It talks about peace and joy. Its a book of encouragement. Its a book of hope…no matter how and horrible your situation is, it tells you that God will never forsake you. He wants you back.

Let’s also allocate time of fellowship and prayer with our Lord. Talk and communicate with Him daily. Say, “Father,in Jesus’ name I come to you…” Spill it out to Him then be sure to listen back. You’ll get use to listening to the voice of God in your life. Doing your daily journal or writing down your impressions from God’s word can help a lot.

Join our G12 cell groups or Open Cells so you can be a part of small groups who will pray for you and help you with your problems. We really appreciate our cell leaders who dedicate their lives in taking care of the cell disciples. Its wonderful that at times like these there are still real people who care for others.

We call this month of March a favor-filled month for all of us. Let us continue to live for our Lord Jesus Christ. He is the Awesome God!

In His Vineyard,

Pastor Vicky Sebastian

Talk about overcoming life’s problems, trials and potholes… There’s a command from the General Headquarters specially for the months to come in 2010…SATURATE!

Saturate yourself with the Word of God until it becomes part of your flesh. You eat of the Word until it forms in you. When this happens, flesh is defeated and God’s manifest power flows through you. You can stand and remain standing in the midst of trials and tribulations.

Saturate yourself with praise and worship–songs and poems that magnify the Lord. As your ear gates and eye gates are filled with notes that glorify God’s goodness and loving kindness, you will experience the walls of opposition against your destiny crumble to dust.

Saturate yourself with prayers. Let your breath be as prayer to God. You can talk to God anytime. And when you think about Him and His promises, talk to Him and it will be a sweet sound to His ears. Our prayers of supplication and thanksgiving are given attention in Heaven and God send His angels to assist you and deliver your requests to you.

Saturate yourself with the vision God has given our church of which you are a part of its living structure. God says, “Go and make disciples!” Teaching the disciples in the ” School of Leaders” and raising them up to be leaders also. Loving people as we love God.

Surely 2010 promises a breakthrough in our spiritual maturity. He’s showing us the Word of God, the Bible. The Holy Spirit is pointing us to the King of kings. Our Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit is emphasizing the significance of the Blood of Jesus Christ in our everyday life. Let us allow the Holy Spirit to usher us to a higher level of life.

Again I say, SATURATE!!!

For the Kingdom’s cause,

Bishop Jonathan & Pastor Vicky Sebastian

Blessed New Year to all of you! We proclaim and pray 2010 as start of the decade of double blessings to all those who love the Lord Jesus Christ!

It is of vital importance to us to be “In Christ” as it is only through Him do we have security and encompassing love.

Our Lord Jesus Christ is a very loving God. He loves us so much that He gave His life for us to redeem us from spiritual death, poverty and curse of the law (Gal. 3:13). We pray that we open our hearts & lives to Him specially this year, the first of a decade.

As for the JCSGO Family, we want to express our love to all of you for your commitment to the cause of the gospel (Matthew 28:18-20). We are looking forward to a very fruitful year where we can take care of more people in the kingdom.

In His love,
