On July 19, 2011, we sailed in the “Legend of the Sea” along Halong Bay in Hanoi, Vietnam.  It was exhilarating to see the beautiful limestone formation grouped and perfectly leveled in the shimmering waters.  The seven o’clock light blended the blue-grayish mist.  I just thanked God for their beautiful land.

The moment we step on land I prayed for blessings upon Vietnam.  Prayed for the healing of her wounds.  She has been through severe war and bouts of hardships.  I prayed for her people and children.

Truly that nation is loved by our Lord Jesus Christ.  He shed His precious blood for Vietnam.  I pray that the gospel of the Lord will break through the gates.  I encourage you dear friends to pray for Vietnam.  Our prayers are effective.  Who knows that one day we might see each other on her shores.

It’s always a relief to sing a prayer from one’s heart.  We can have burden or heaviness in the course of this life but the good news is that we can release it to the Lord by prayer.  The bible defines burden like a load carried by men or animals; it can also be a responsibility; cares of life; bondages or oracles of judgment.

The moment we feel heavy with problems or with a situation that is beyond our control, always remember the invitation of our Lord Jesus Christ: “Come to me all of you who are heavy with burden and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28.

Right now even as you read this blog, there may be burden in your heart: unresolved conflict with your employer; unclosed relationships which bring pain to your heart; betrayals; frustrations and fear….  Come, the Lord is saying to you…and He will give you rest. “Cast thy burden upon the Lord and He shall sustain thee: He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.” Ps.55:22

Now let me pray for you. Lord bless this someone. Touch his /her heart. Let them know you care. In Jesus name, Amen.

Jesus Attraction

My personal encounter with Jesus Christ was a bit interesting. I always thought that He was just the man on the cross who died for sins.  Honestly, I used to grieve for Him and pity Him in many ways.  I never had any idea about John 3:16 and its repercussions to the world and even my personal life.

Now my life has changed.  I thanked God for the empty cross that signifies Jesus Christ’s victory over darkness.  His death on the cross meant freedom for all of us who choose to decide and declare from our hearts and mouths that He is Lord.

Jesus Christ is super attractive! The Bible accounted that when He was on earth, He loved people.  He became one of us. He understands us from the very core of our being.  He understands our emotions, feelings, choices and longings.  He fosters personal relationship with us.  Through prayers we can talk to Him and He answers our petitions. He provides for us. He answers every question and longing in our hearts.  There’s nothing that the Lord can’t give us (Mark 11:24). He forgives us every time we sin and fall short of His glory. We can always go back to Him in repentance and be assured that He will accept us back no matter how deep we sinned.

Everything in Him is safe.  As we draw near to Him through His words and prayers everyday, abundant life flows to us.  At present, the preaching of the gospel around the world opens the gates for people to get to know the Lord Jesus Christ and be attracted to His person, His spirit, His word, and His promise.  Revelations 21:4, “He will wipe every tear from their eyes…”.  Thank you, Lord Maranatha!

If you want to open a personal relationship with Him, just pray like this: :Lord Jesus Christ, I acknowledge that you are my Lord and Savior. Forgive me of my sins and help me to live a peaceful and abundant life. Thank you Lord in Jesus’ name, amen.”

What’s next after the three decades?

The fruits are ready for harvest! We are not only talking of people as fruits but the fruits of the Holy Spirit being in full bloom in our lives.  We mature in the sense that we became capable of taking care of people.  Sincerely loving them, discipleship will grow strong.

The next ten years will be years of harvest. As we continue to sow we will experience the impossible—difficult people will be reached and everything sown in the Kingdom will reap a thousand fold.

We will experience acceleration this decade.  It’s not how long you’ve been a Christian but the degree of transformation we have in our hearts that will matter.  Soak yourselves in the Word!  It’s the degree of brokenness and humility before the Lord and the power of the Holy Spirit at work in us.

We are expecting the buildup of momentum for conquest and evangelism until Matthew 28:18-19 becomes a lifestyle—even our life of prayer and giving.

There will be excellent preservation of people harvested to become disciples and followers of Christ.  They will those who spread the teaching of the Lord Jesus Christ.

We are looking forward to a minimum of 500,000 cells in ten years time with steadfast and loyal cell leaders.

Most especially, we are expecting the presence and the power of God to intensify much more among us.  It will push us forward and upward.  We will not be stocked up.

Isaiah 40:31, “But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary. They shall walk and not faint”

JCSGO led by Bishop Jonathan and Senior Pastor Vicky Sebastian led their delegation of about 200 pastors and leaders coming from the different localities and chapters.  The Central Families were able to send 135 pastors and leaders to the 2-day conference.  Bishop Jonathan and Pastor Vicky was also one of the local speakers during the event.

Speakers from the G12 International families include Pastors Rich and Melissa Witmer, Pastor Johnny Tousset, Bishop Flynn and Carolyn Johnson.  Meanwhile, Bishop Oriel rallied more than 3,000 delegates to do the Conquest of souls this 2010 and encouraged the churches to embark in this endeavor so that the nations will be reached for Christ.

After the conference, Pastor Vicky immediately mobilized the primary networks to prepare JCSGO for total mobilization starting with chains of prayer and fasting and series of equipping. It is their heart to contribute huge success for the evangelization of the Philippines and to expand God kingdom in every barangay and different marketplaces.

The good news is we can cultivate wisdom at any stage of our lives.  However, it’s better if we start digging for it even when we were still young.  The book of Proverbs is considered as the book of wisdom.  We can read and meditate on its timeless verses and develop wisdom down to the core. Let’s encourage children and teenagers to discover “Proverbs”.  They will greatly benefit from it.  Proverbs 5:1 says, “My son pay attention to my wisdom; lend your ear to my understanding, that you may preserve discretion and your lips may keep knowledge.”

We can read the Bible and absorb wisdom from its authors.  What’s more, this is free of charge!  Nowadays, “corporate training materials” about leadership and attitude cost a lot of money.  If we exercise our wisdom, we don’t need to spend that much.  How about opening and reading your bible today?  It will spell health to your soul and body and transform you into a “better you”.

After the 3rd wave of the Conquest Season, the Central church harvested a total of 425 new disciples including 70 from the 6am Family, 33 from the 8am family, 235 from the 1030 family and 88 from the 3pm family. The challenge of consolidating these precious souls is currently being worked out by every cell leaders who have integrated each harvest to their cells. The primary task of caring for these new disciples lies in the consistent follow ups of each cells.
