MAKE YOUR WAY PROSPEROUS
By: JONATHAN C. SEBASTIAN

Joshua 1:7-8 “Only be strong and very courageous, THAT YOU MAY OBSERVE TO DO according to all the law which Moses my servant commanded you, do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, THAT YOU PROSPER wherever you go.  This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you SHALL MEDITATE on it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then YOU WILL MAKE YOUR WAY PROSPEROUS and then you will have good success.”

If we want to prosper wherever we go, the word of God is very clear. We must be strong and very courageous to OBSERVE TO DO according to ALL THE LAW. We must NOT turn from it to the right hand or to the left in order for us to experience prosperity. This is the discipline we should seriously adopt in order to really make it happen. We should always remember and apply HIS WORDS at all times in all situations. As we do this we will surely prosper wherever we go.

Meditating on the WORD OF GOD–day and night, will certainly help guide us in the conduct of our lives. And as we continually do this,  God will show us the right path to prosperity and good success. It is His delight to see the prosperity of His servants (Psalm 35:27).  One of it is making His words a significant substance of our whole being. As we face challenges and problems in life, His words has power to heal and deliver even in the area of our finances.

There is  a well of wealth and prosperity in the Bible.  It tells us that the gold and the silver is the Lord’s(Haggai 2:8) and that God made us His heirs—in fact, joint heirs with Christ (Romans 8:17). The wealth deposits of the earth are intended for those who dare to believe God in every aspect of their lives.

Obedience to the word of God should not be selective. The bible tells us that the key to our receiving is in our giving. Luke 6:38 NLT, “Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full–pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back.”

Therefore in any way we want to receive, we must determine our ways of giving.  Our offerings and tithing or the giving of the 10th of what we have should never be an issue of  the amount but of our obedience to the Word of God. Psalm 37 devotes its passages to the life of one who trust in the Lord and DO what the Lord says.  It affirms that those who obey Him  is assured of an inheritance forever (verse 22).
