First day of March
It’s the first day of March. How the days passed so quickly as the cliche goes but it seem to be true specially for us Christians who can bask in the presence of the Lord. Truly time passes so quickly when you’re in good company.
With all the reported news happening around the globe, mostly negative, catastrophies were seen as if reading the 24th chapter of the gospel of Matthew and some accounts in the Old Testaments from Ezekiel and Zechariah. Wow! Could we be the RAPTURE generation?
In the meantime, how do we carry ourselves and be true to our calling as followers of Christ? Our Lord is good and He gave us the Holy Spirit to teach us and comfort us in times of trouble and distress. We are empowered by the Holy Spirit to make the right choices and decisions in our life. What’s more when we go astray? He leads us back to the loving arms of our Shepherd–our Lord Jesus Christ.
We can remain plugged to this power by reading the Word of God,our bible… after all the author of the Bible is no less than the Holy Spirit Himself. Its a book of instruction. Its a book of wisdom. It contain principles of abundant living. It talks about peace and joy. Its a book of encouragement. Its a book of hope…no matter how and horrible your situation is, it tells you that God will never forsake you. He wants you back.
Let’s also allocate time of fellowship and prayer with our Lord. Talk and communicate with Him daily. Say, “Father,in Jesus’ name I come to you…” Spill it out to Him then be sure to listen back. You’ll get use to listening to the voice of God in your life. Doing your daily journal or writing down your impressions from God’s word can help a lot.
Join our G12 cell groups or Open Cells so you can be a part of small groups who will pray for you and help you with your problems. We really appreciate our cell leaders who dedicate their lives in taking care of the cell disciples. Its wonderful that at times like these there are still real people who care for others.
We call this month of March a favor-filled month for all of us. Let us continue to live for our Lord Jesus Christ. He is the Awesome God!
In His Vineyard,
Pastor Vicky Sebastian
